Central location, excellent base for discovering Haddington. Good area just off beautiful gardens. - Wonderful and tasty breakfast with fruit juices and welcoming staff.

I had quite comfortable days staying at this small hotel. Everything was excellent, welcoming staff, lovely views over the wide gardens. The breakfast had plenty of delicious food and drinks. I got complimentary standard room as an upgrade, nice gesture. The location was unbeatable, within walking distance of Castle Park Golf Club.

The personnel were accommodating and courteous and made me feel welcome😃

I had a great stay in a lovely twin room with both bath and shower, and the service was top-notch.

Staff were very friendly, good breakfast. Very good location close to the town.

Tiny room needs refurbishing, lumpy mattress on bed, would be much more comfortable with a good mattress cover. Shower would not switch off so room became unbearably hot. Evening meal was spoilt with frozen fries, they would do better promoting more local foods. Steak pie was excellent though. Dessert was tinned fruits when local strawberries and raspberries are in season it doesn't make sense not to use them.

The hotel is perfectly clean and the staff is efficient and very attentive. the classic king room comes with central heating and a nice touch of chocolate. - They serve a freshly prepared breakfast that is a good way to start the day. - It's a quaint and good quality hotel, my top choice in Haddington.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The cozy fire in the large lounge was great for all seven of us to sit round and enjoy a drink. The restaurant meals were terrific (compliments to the chef!) and reasonably priced. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. We will certainly stay there again on our next visit.

From the moment we arrived, until we left, the genuine warmth and friendliness of all the staff was much appreciated. The rooms were very comfortable and warm. The variety of food at breakfast was really good. Have friends in this area, so definetly will be returning to the Maitlandfield house hotel
